- Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, since college graduation I've lived in Amsterdam, New York City, Washington DC, Oregon, Nevada and Newport Beach before finally making Nashville my home. I've managed to stay put for 14 years now and enjoy the small town-big city dichotomy here. My "day" job as a freelance writer allows me to spend my days hanging out with my Boston Terrier and Pug in my 75-year-old cottage that is a constant work in progress. I love DIY, decorating and collecting, so I finally rented space at a local antique mall to turn my obsession into a side business.
